Johanna Rocard is a choreographer and visual artist based in Rennes. Trained at university and conservatory level, and holding a DUT (University Diploma of Technology) in Social Careers, she has developed a dance practice attentive to sociopolitical dynamics and the power of collective spirit. Working across disciplines, she explores choreographic acts, collective forms, and gestures of resistance that run through human communities.
At the heart of her research lies the body—both individual and collective—as a non-hierarchical and sensitive space where amateurs and professionals come into dialogue. In 2024, she founded Brave Compagnie alongside Amandine Braud and Estelle Chaigne. The company supports her artistic creations and collaborations and is conceived as a laboratory for research and experimentation.
